United Farmworkers | 50th Anniversary March | Event

On September 11th, 2016, the Center for Ethics and Leadership at St. Edward's University hosted a commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1966 United Farm Workers March.

In 1966, the United Farm Workers marched to draw attention to the conditions under which agricultural laborers worked. St. Edward’s allowed the marchers to stay overnight on campus before embarking on the last segment of the march to the Texas State Capitol.
